Job Summary

Under general supervision, the Heavy Equipment Operator and Driver will operate one or several types of power construction equipment, such as motor graders, bulldozers, scrapers, compressors, pumps, derricks, shovels, tractors, or front-end loaders to excavate, move, and grade earth, erect structures, or pour concrete or other hard surface pavement. May repair and maintain equipment in addition to other duties. General knowledge of the kinds of sprinkler control devices and irrigation equipment available on the market.

Primary Responsibilities

* Start engines, move throttles, switches, or levers, or depress pedals to operate machines, such as bulldozers, trench excavators, road graders, or backhoes.
* Coordinate machine actions with other activities, positioning or moving loads in response to hand or audio signals from crew members.
* Load and move dirt, rocks, equipment, or other materials, using trucks, crawler tractors, power cranes, shovels, graders, or related equipment.
* Repair and maintain equipment, making emergency adjustments or assisting with major repairs as necessary.
* Drive tractor-trailer trucks to move equipment from site to site.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
* Will overseen 6 students including a students lead -Overseen the recycling Students( Cans, bottles, Brokens bikes inside the hales, etc.
* Oversee TMA work orders and any work orders assign by supervisor.
* Oversee power washing inside the trash encloser.
* Responsibility of areas and location for rubbish pick up, with adding new students/TVA Marriage hales.
* Operate and drive rubbish truck daily to complete the task by picking up waste around the campus.
* Operate one or several types of power construction equipment, such as motor graders, bulldozers, scrapers, compressors, pumps, derricks, shovels, tractors, or front-end loaders to excavate, move, and grade earth, erect structures, or pour concrete or other hard surface pavement.
* May repair and maintain equipment in addition to other duties.

Physical Demands

Outside environment subject to wind, rain, and temperature changes. Exposed to fumes from power equipment. May lift or move 50 pounds or more. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Approximate starting hourly rate: $22.00 - $24.00. The wage offered could be above or below range based on education and experience as it relates to the job description.
