Duties
• Facilitates the administrative processes for all requests for information related to Foreign National visits, and release and disclosure of information.
• Provides authoritative information regarding personnel security clearance requirements, SCI access, and adjudicative guidelines to internal and external customers.
• Determines the adequacy of current investigations and other data collected and decides whether an interim security clearance should be granted or denied.
• Ensures control measures to safeguard and prevent loss of classified material are in place and updated.
• Conducts Information Security (INFOSEC) briefings/training for serviced personnel.
• Establishes and maintains an effective and efficient security program within the organization.
• Interprets higher-level guidance and promulgates implementing directives and guidance to the G-2 Security Office
Requirements Conditions of Employment
• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
• In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
• Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
• This position has been identified for the Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Program and requires the individual obtain the Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within their first two years of employment

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience
Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience
To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job
Specialized experience is defined as experience: 1) providing multi-discipline security program support in Foreign Disclosure, Personnel Security (PERSEC), and Information Security (INFOSEC); 2) implementing security policies and procedures to ensure security program compliance; and 3) analyzing and/or resolving difficult security problems
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-11)
Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled
Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
