We are seeking an Acute and Critical Care Occupational Therapy Fellow to:

* Become well versed in acute care occupational therapy with advanced clinical skills for evaluation, assessment, and treatment of various diagnoses in a fast-paced environment.
* Assist in appropriate discharge planning and goal setting for patients and families as a trusted advocate as they progress through their hospital stay.
* Participate in didactic learning modules to further growth and knowledge in a specialized setting.
* Challenge their own and other staff member's clinical decision making through constructive feedback in didactic units and case presentations to advance the role of occupational therapy in acute care.
* Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to carry out evidence-based treatment plans to maximize functional outcomes for patients.
* Receive and modify practice patterns based on constructive feedback from mentors.

Education:

Minimum -

* Graduate of an accredited, entry-level degree program (Baccalaureate or higher) in Occupational Therapy.
* Credentialed by National Board of Certification for Occupational Therapists (NBCOT).
* Must obtain NPI number prior to starting the fellowship program.

Work Experience:

Preferred - One (1) year of prior relevant experience.

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum - Licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Wisconsin. Certification in Healthcare Provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automatic External Defibrillator.
