Responsible for assessing, implementing, and evaluating care for various patients within the facility. Reports directly to the Clinical Director of the unit. This position works in conjunction with other members of nursing service, ancillary services, physicians, patients, and families. It collaborates with various members of the healthcare team to ensure quality of care across the continuum. Requires the ability to be self-directed and quality focused. Interpersonal communication skills are a necessary function of this position.

Hours of Position:

Full-time, 36 hours/week, 7p-7a

**$20k sign-on bonus** for eligible candidates (current employees and candidates who have worked at Vanderbilt within the last year are not eligible.)

Department Summary:

The Cardiac Observation Unit, also known as 1 West, is located on the second floor of Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital. This unit flexes from 16-32 beds and the typical Nurse to patient ratio is 1:4/6. The care we provide to patients includes: COVID positive and rule-out, medical surgical, observation, advanced respiratory management and advanced cardiac management.

The environment on our unit consists of positive teamwork, encouraging others, and focused on providing the best quality of care to our patients.
