Duties
• You will support and coordinate the Joint U.S
Military Assistance Group Philippines security cooperation activities to include, Foreign Military Sales, International Security Cooperation Programs, International Military Education and Training, etc.
• You will have oversight of administrative and resource managements matters pertaining to U.S
Indo- Pacific Command and operations oversight management for the Joint U.S
Military Assistance Group Philippines.
• You will coordinate interests within other Embassy offices to include giving update briefings, chairing meetings, clearing correspondence, adjudicating disputes, and promoting work relationships.
• You will ensure optimum teamwork in using Philippine and U.S
resources on mission areas requiring bilateral cooperation.
• You will run daily business of the Office of the Joint Service military members, civilian, and local national personnel.
• You will be responsible for facilities management and coordination with U.S
Country Team and relevant Philippines governmental agencies for the maintenance and security

• This position may require frequent travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites
You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement to establish a Government time in service requirement of 12 months.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S
Passport.
• May be required to obtain a VISA dependent on the overseas country's laws/regulations.
• You will be required to sign the Statement of Understanding for Overseas Employment acknowledging receipt and understanding of the statement of living and working conditions for this location.
• Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
• Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
• You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty
Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required
A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test
You will be subject to random testing.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases
• This is a Mission Essential position
You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
• Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics
You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101
Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector specializing in managing, planning, coordinating, implementing, administrating, tracking, and reporting of Security Cooperation and security assistance which includes Foreign Military Sales, International Security Cooperation Programs, International Military Education and Training

Education ADDTIONAL INFORMATION Position requires incumbent to attain DoD Security Cooperation Certification in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2017, Title 10 U.S.C., Section 384
Incumbent must maintain "good-standing" in an appropriate Area of Concentration (AoC) and certification level as determined by supervisor
o Employee must meet DoD Security Cooperation Workforce Certification requirements applicable to the duties of the position
Selectee must meet the education and experience requirements for the designated Certification Area of Concentration (AoC) and Certification Level within one year (Basic-level) or two years (Intermediate-level) from Security Cooperation Workforce Development-Database entry date to become certified in accordance DoD Security Cooperation Workforce Certification requirements as outlined in DODI 5132.15, Implementation of the Security Cooperation Workforce Certification Program
Incumbent in this position is required to comply with all Department of Defense and Defense Security Cooperation Agency requirements of this certification program
This certification requirement is a condition of employment for this position
Failure to obtain DoD Security Cooperation certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action
Incumbent is required to maintain 20 hours of Security Cooperation professional development continuous learning every two-year period to maintain good standing in the DoD Security Cooperation Workforce Certification Program
