Fair Acres Geriatric Center, owned and operated by the County of Delaware, has been providing quality service to the community for over 200 years. Located on a 210-acre tract in Lima, Pennsylvania, the center consists of eighteen buildings, including five resident buildings with skilled nursing units. Fair Acres Geriatric Center employs a large and well-trained staff of physicians, nurses, therapists, and others to provide the care and services needed by over 900 residents. The facility is approved for operation by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and is certified for participation in the Medicare and Medicaid programs. It also serves as a geriatric training site for nursing schools in the area.


Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Fair Acres Geriatric Center in Media, PA. The LPN will be responsible for providing direct nursing care to residents, administering medications, monitoring vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living, and documenting patient information. The LPN will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being and comfort of the residents.


Qualifications

  • Valid LPN license
  • Experience in geriatric nursing or long-term care
  • Knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and techniques
  • Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record systems
  • CPR certification
  • Ability to work flexible hours and weekends
  • Bilingual skills (Spanish) are a plus
