PATIENT ACCESS REPRESENTATIVE

As the Patient Access Representative, you will perform all tasks related to pre-registration and registration of patients in an efficient, accurate and professional manner to ensure that the patient, physician and hospital needs are met.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Perform accurate registration and insurance verification, ensuring collection of all critical data elements necessary for proper patient identification for registration and billing.
* Communicate in a professional, positive and respectful manner with patients and offices and provide consistent excellent customer service in a variety of situations.
* Complies with point-of-service cash collections, balancing, batching, and depositing in accordance with Hospital policies.
* Review error reports provided and correct errors before end of shift.
* Manage all incoming calls into the department and distribute them as necessary.
* Complete other duties as assigned.
Required:
* High School diploma
* Computer and typing experience
* Customer service skills
Preferred:
* Prior experience working directly with the public in a healthcare patient access environment.
* Prior knowledge of third-party insurance and medical terminology.
* English/Spanish bilingual is preferred
Bilingual English-Spanish highly encouraged to apply
Flexible schedules available Additional pay differential for Nights and Weekends
