LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Current RN licensure to practice in the State of Illinois and the following certifications:# Bi-annual CPR certification required. NRP by end of orientation. STABLE certification within 1 year of hire.# RNC certification within 3 years of hire. # EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Successful completion of annual clinical, age and job specific competencies and skill verification tools required.# Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing in a caring, considerate and concerned manner.# Willingness to accept responsibility.# Ability to direct ancillary and assistive staff and organize work assignments.# Leadership skills essential to the position.# Ability to provide exceptional customer service to all customers of the organization.# Ability to transition between facilities based on the needs of the health system.# Ability to serve on neonatal transport team. # ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Demonstrates use of the nursing process in the delivery of individualized plan of patient care. Demonstrates critical thinking skills and exercises nursing judgment in evaluating patient care situations. Demonstrates effective documentation and communication skills. Promotes safety and infection control procedures. Provides care and education incorporating age-specific, cultural and spiritual needs of the patient and significant other into the plan of care. Performs all aspects of care in an environment that optimizes patient and environmental safety and in accordance with applicable laws, and compliance efforts. Member of the neonatal transport team.
