Environmental Facilitator, Trainer, Assessor The Environmental Facilitator, Trainer, Assessor plays a vital role in promoting environmental awareness, sustainability, and conservation efforts. They support the facilitation of the preparation of environmental drill design packages; initial response team training; exercises and assessments. They are responsible for designing and delivering educational programs, coordinating training sessions, and assessing environmental compliance. You will assess and evaluate environmental programs and initiatives, provide guidance on best practices, and contribute to the overall goal of achieving a greener and more sustainable future. Compensation & Benefits: Estimated Starting Salary Range for Environmental Facilitator, Trainer, & Assessor: $71,760 per year/ $34.50 hourly Pay commensurate with experience. Environmental Facilitator, Trainer, Assessor Responsibilities Include: * Acts as principle subject matter expert for Spill Preparedness Training and Exercises. * Acts as the sole point of contact for the installation Spill Program Managers (SPMs), Installation Environmental Program Directors (IEPDs), and Installation Training Officers (ITOs). * Supports the installations in the design and planning of exercises; provide training; assist in coordinating exercises; perform exercise assessments; and produce deliverables for review and submittal. * Individuals shall support the installations in the design and planning of exercises; provide training; assist in coordinating exercises; perform exercise assessments; and produce deliverables for review and submittal. * Able to work autonomously as well as in a team environment and be prepared to contribute to building exercise and other training checklists and documents. * Be familiar with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and be capable of data entry into SharePoint based software. * Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Environmental Facilitator, Trainer, Assessor Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested: * Bachelor's Degree in related area and Coast Guard Type 1 and/or 2 incident preferred. * Experience on a Strike Team, Incident Command System (ICS), Pollution Responder, Federal On-Scene Commander Representative (FOSC-R), or United States Coast Guard Shore Infrastructure Logistic Center (USCG SILC). * National or Regional Response Team experience. * Qualifying experience involved in real world responses in either TIER 3 or TIER 1 incidents. * Strong knowledge background of the Oil Pollution Action of 1990 (OPA-90); National Preparedness for Response Exercise Program (PREP) guidelines; OPNAV M-5090.1E; Navy On-Scene Coordinator (Navy OSC) policies and instructions; and applicable spill contingency plans. * Strong communication skills - ability to communicate within various levels of management. * Ability to work with different departments and cross-functional teams, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and changing schedules. * Strong analytical skills and strong business writing skills required. * Secret or higher security clearance is preferred, or shall be vetted, as appropriate, at applicable installations on a case-by-case basis. The later will require personnel to submit personally identifiable information (PII) to enable background checks by each applicable installation security department. * Familiarization with Kanban project management methods is a plus. * Must be a US Citizen. * Able to work autonomously as well as in a team environment and be prepared to contribute to building exercise and other training checklists and documents. * Be familiar with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and be capable of data entry into SharePoint based software. * Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
