Typical duties include (based on experience):
* Participate in one or more phases of the software life cycle: requirements development, software design/implementation, integration, and verification
* Develop software designs and implementations that meet stringent requirements for complex embedded control systems * Develop software using Green Hills, ARM Development Studio or other software development environments for embedded targets ranging from PowerPC to multi-core ARM processors
* Use existing processes and evolve processes to utilize the most effective new techniques to minimize both design cost and product costHybrid Opportunity Required Education, Experience, & Skills Required Education, Experience, & Skills The following education, skills and experiences are required in order to be considered for the role.
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
* U.S. Citizenship or U.S. permanent resident
* 4+ years work experience in embedded software development using C/C++/Assembly languages
* Willingness to perform a wide variety of related tasks Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
The below experiences and skills are preferred but NOT required to be qualified for this position. This position is open for a range of career levels and BAE Systems will work with candidates to find a role that best aligns to their experiences.
* Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
* Embedded Software development in C, Assembly programming languages.
* Higher level programing & scripting languages such as Python, JAVA, Perl, etc.
* Software modeling, such as Matlab/Simulink
* Experience in Embedded real-time operating system development * Experience with PowerPC, ARM, x86 processor architectures
* Real-time embedded low level software development (e.g. device drivers and BSP development)
* Hardware/Software integration and debug experience
* Familiarity with source control systems and configuration management practice
* Experience with Safety Critical or Functional Safety industry standards such as:
* DO-178B, DO-178C, IEC 62304, IEC 62368, IEC 61508, ISO 26262 Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $83900 - $142600 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
