Mission Technologies, a division of HII has a need for a Technical & Scientific Lead Engineer who has experience with counter rockets, artillery, mortar, and unmanned aerial systems. This opportunity will support the design and implementation of software programs and analytical schemes for shaping developmental efforts for testing, sensing, tracking, and engaging rockets, artillery, mortars, and unmanned aerial systems. Essential Job Responsibilities * Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
* Conduct simulation of tactical events across the full spectrum of Live, Virtual, and Constructive simulation systems.
* Collaborate with all levels of personnel regarding simulation techniques regarding different points in the acquisition cycle and discuss the limitations of particular simulations for validity and prediction.
* Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Minimum Qualifications * Master's degree from an accredited institution within fields of engineering, mathematics, physics, or operations research.
* 20 years of experience in the use of military radar systems, and the networked Command and Control systems that translate sensor data into combat information. * Must possess demonstrable knowledge of the sciences of ballistics, information theory, and feedback response, development of Kalman filtering, and other statistical smoothing techniques to clarify sensor data and allow real-time and near real-time categorization, classification, and identification of a wide range of aerial objects. * Must possess demonstrated knowledge of simulation of tactical events across the full spectrum of Live, Virtual, and Constructive simulation systems. * Must possess demonstrated knowledge of the appropriate level of fidelity required of simulation techniques to answer questions raised at different points in the Acquisition Cycle, as well as the limitations of particular simulations for validity and prediction. * Clearance: TOP SECRET security clearance with Active or Current TS/SCI is required.
