Duties * You will develop original designs, concepts and visual styles for multiple media, using various software design programs to elicit and deliver intended messages for multiple audiences. * You will create photography, audio and videography productions from scratch (conceptualizing, creating, staging). * You will develop publicity for the promotion of local command policies, objectives, and programs, and Navy and federal programs impacting the workforce. * You will act as a Navy spokesperson when directed, or in the absence of the Public Affairs Officer, to respond to queries from the news media, other governmental agencies, and the public. Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
* Creating and presenting oral, print, and audiovisual presentations designed to foster understanding, cooperation, and participation of specialized groups, affected public, groups with opposing viewpoints, and the media on subjects of a complex and sensitive nature.
* Applying communication principles, practices, and tactics to conduct public affairs programs involving public information and news media activities for internal and external audiences.
* Developing complete oral, written or visual communication plans and techniques for an organization and planning and technical services in designing approaches resolving public affairs problems in various program areas.
