INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER/SCIENTIST with Security Clearance

Duties * You will develop or test new equipment or material that significantly adds to the operability and usefulness of existing or new equipment/systems having new features. * You will formulate approaches using knowledge or related projects to resolve a variety of nonrecurring technological problems. * You will lead a team to develop engineering criteria; analyze technical problems that are controversial; and, in general, extend the state-of-the-art in his/her specialty. Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DP-03 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Provides technically sound advice and guidance to managers, supervisors, peers, and sponsors on specific technical aspects of systems or concept development. 2. Develops plans and procedures to extend existing knowledge/tests to account for newly emerging ideas and projects. 3. Advises on, administers, or performs professional, scientific, or technical work concerned with engineering or architectural projects, facilities, structures, systems, processes, equipment, devices, material or methods. 4. Review proposals for expanded or alternative work proposed by other employees or contractors and make decisions on major issues and controversies by directing what work will be performed and what compromises can be accepted.
