Insurance client is hiring a full time Director of Infrastructure & Cybersecurity, reporting to the CIO, is a critical leader within the IT team and is responsible for leading the infrastructure team as well as the Cybersecurity program within client. This includes managing and architecting the infrastructure, leading the help desk, and establishing, managing, and executing the Cybersecurity program.

Essential Functions

Cybersecurity

  • Establish and oversee the Cybersecurity program within client.
  • Responsible for establishing, implementing, administrating, and providing oversight of the IT Information Security and Data Protection
  • Manage audits, including responding to audit requests in a timely manner (internal, external, and state)
  • Work in partnership with other departments across the organization to follow through mitigation strategies for observations from the audits
  • Create and maintain policies and procedures (for example, Data Retention Policy, Change Management, Vulnerability Management, GV Risk Assessment Policy, etc.)
  • Support and ensure compliance of IT Governance for controls, standards, and practices
  • Work with all business functions to understand the security risks and compliance requirements, and develop a long-term corporate strategy for these areas
  • Lead and execute on IT Risk & Compliance roadmap, including aligning with the defined Information Security strategy, business, and product strategy
  • Lead IT security incident response, performing triage and determining if security incidents require escalation and/or further response
  • Develop and maintain Information Security & Data Protection operational processes, policies and procedures, and Data Classification standards
  • Implement cybersecurity best practices using relevant security frameworks, such as NIST, COBIT, etc.
  • Maintain and enhance existing cyber tools, including anti-malware, EDR, web security, SIEM, IPS/IDS, Firewalls, and threat intelligence
  • Read and interpret ISO 27001, SOC 2, and other relevant certification reports from vendors to assess their security preparedness and representation of Prime s interests
  • Review contractual agreements and comment on security and data protection as needed

Infrastructure and Help Desk

  • Plan and direct the design, deployment, and implementation of on-premise and cloud technology infrastructure, including network administration, device management, system architecture, telecommunications, and business continuity and disaster recovery
  • Establish Help Desk KPIs and SLAs, and maintain SLAs. Report on the KPIs on an ongoing basis.
  • Own the overall design and engineering of infrastructure platforms that deliver high availability, performance, and capacity in a cost-effective and secure manner
  • Lead the effective delivery and operation of core infrastructure Services, including Compute, Storage, AWS, Network, and other related services in the Enterprise Technology stack
  • Accountable for managing vendors, ensuring they deliver quality services and meet all contractual obligations
  • Manage Infrastructure budgets and purchasing, including vendor & contract management, inventory tracking, and billing of materials, software, and services

Minimum Requirements

Education, Training, and Experience

  • Minimum 10+ years of leadership experience in Infrastructure and Cybersecurity space, including IT Operations with specific skills in IT Risk, Compliance, and Information Security Management in the Financial or Insurance industries
  • Bachelor s Degree; in Finance, Business, Information Management/Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent field
  • Visible, collaborative, and accessible leader to both the IT organization and the rest of the business
  • Proven experience and demonstrated capability in leading transformational initiatives in complex and dynamic environments
  • Experience with vendor and contract management for managed services, licensing, and delivery
  • Exceptional understanding of COBIT/NIST processes and implementation
  • Experience with Risk Management and Regulatory/Audit programs and reporting
  • Extensive experience in network infrastructure
  • Demonstrated experience in site buildouts and site-to-site integration

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a strategic staffing plan, ensuring that employees are highly engaged and motivated
  • Ability to display critical decision-making during issues and incidents and situations involving confidential and sensitive material
  • Ability to manage IT security vendor relationships and recommend strategic solutions and procurements
