ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN with Security Clearance

Summary This position is located within the Digital Analytics Infrastructure and Technology (DAita) Group, Atlantic Ranges and Targets Department, and Atlantic Range Instrumentation Division of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. The selectee will function as a range instrumentation project Electronics Technician and machinist. Duties * You will provide technical support for the requirements of test and evaluation events for customers at the Atlantic Test Range. * You will provide range system instrumentation installation and daily flight support. * You will manage the maintenance and installation of optical assets to ensure proper configuration and range system operation. * You will perform machinist operations to accomplish the manufacturing and repair of instrumentation that will be integrated onto range/shipboard components, tools, equipment, parts, and custom fabrication of specialty items. * You will coordinate, plan, and execute efforts necessary to accomplish the test/project/program objectives. * You will lay out work; read and interpret blueprints and technical publications; design and draw working sketches; and make special tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures. * You utilize verbal and written communication skills for preparing program plans, cost estimates, evaluation procedures, and technical reports and documentation. * You will interface with internal and external contacts to resolve issues and problems in development and testing of aviation weapon systems. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience includes: (1) Providing technical support for aircraft platforms and associated instrumentation systems; (2) Applying procedures and practices to install/modify/operate instrumentation that will be integrated onto aircraft/shipboard components, tools, equipment, parts, and custom fabrication of specialty items; (3) Participating in the planning, design, fabrication, test, and evaluation of assigned systems; (4) Performing set-ups, layouts, gauging, precise alignments and measurements of work pieces on machines and layout tables using layout and precision measurement tools; (5) Interpreting work orders and drawings to complete assigned tasks; (6) Utilizing verbal and written communication skills for preparing program plans, cost estimates, evaluation procedures, and technical reports and documentation; and (7) Interfacing with internal and external contacts to resolve issues and problems in development and testing of aviation weapon systems.
