Duties * Serve as an Information Security Specialist in the Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Security (ACofS, G-2), Army Security Office (ASO), Army Research and Technology Protection Center (ARTPC). * Ensure compliance and execution of the Army's security classification management (SCG) program. * Manage DA SCG program to review and coordinate classification and declassification decisions with Original Classification Authorities (OCAs) for Army programs. Requirements Conditions of Employment * Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. * Two year trial/probationary period may be required. * In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter. * Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis. * Must be able to obtain and maintain Top Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI). * Temporary Duty (TDY) Travel may be required 25% or less of time. * All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management. * This position has been identified for the Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Certification Program. Specialized experience is defined as experience with providing security support to in matters pertaining to information security in coordination with other security personnel. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-12). Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled. Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series.
