We are looking for a System Administrator in support of a highly visible project with scope including JWICS service provision to local and enterprise customer bases around the world. The Systems Administrator will install new software releases, system upgrades, evaluate and install patches, and resolve software related problems. The Systems Administrator will work closely with network professionals and IT personnel to update cyber security measures, install hardware or software devices and troubleshoot problems. This position will ensure that the organizational systems align with mission goals and objectives. Responsibilities: * Analyze the system needs of the organization
* Maintain system security on the computers and the network as a whole
* Assign and update security permission for the system network
* Optimize and evaluate the system regularly
* Perform necessary upgrades and repairs
* Install network hardware and software
* Attend planning and requirements meetings with IT staff, program manager and customers as required
* Review/reset priorities to address the client mission and high priority initiatives
* Build and maintain relationships with other groups to accomplish client objectives
* Perform problem-solving tasks when alerted by a user
* Able to collaboratively work with adjunct organizations that also work closely to develop/tailor the system environment
* Train or direct users on the correct use of software and hardware
* Provide leadership, mentoring, and quality assurance for team members
Requirements: * Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility
* At a minimum, certifications in CompTIA Network+ and CompTIA Security +
* A bachelor's or master's degree in a computer related discipline with a concentration in System Administration or Network Administration
* At least eight (5) years of relevant experience (Bachelor's Degree may be used towards experience)
* At least four (4) years of government contracting or equivalent experience
* Ability to problem solve and think critically
* Attention to detail, good communication skills, good project management skills
Preferred: * Military and/or government experience
* ITIL certification
* Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) or equivalent
* VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV)
