ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION SPECIALIST with Security Clearance

Summary You will serve as a ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION SPECIALIST in the ENVIRONMENTAL DEPARTMENT of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST. Duties * You will evaluate an environmental protection program using metrics, fact finding, and investigative techniques. * You will administer and coordinate site Environmental Protection Programs. * You will initiate and perform studies to determine the extent that Navy operations may impact the quality of' the environment. * You will recommend and implement corrective actions. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Following guidelines to assist in completion of day-to-day compliance inspections; 2) Gathering data to collect and review information on environmental activities; 3) Assisting in preparing reports on findings of noncompliance and notices of violations; and 4) Recognizing potential or existing environmental hazards or violations. *NOTE** This information must be clearly supported in your resume.
