OPERATIONS RESEARCH ANALYST with Security Clearance

Summary You will serve as a OPERATIONS RESEARCH ANALYST in the Naval Medical Forces Pacific, of NAVMEDFORPAC SAN DIEGO CA. This announcement uses the OPM DHA for STEM Position to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service. Duties * You will determine and define areas that analytic rigor can be applied to inform senior leaders decisions. * You will identify variables required and best-suited methodology for analysis, employing innovative approaches for new and complex problem-sets. * You will review high-level policies and documents for relevant issues and operations research community concerns. * You will serve as a subject matter expert for the integration of analysis to inform decision on capabilities, requirements, and resourcing. * You will identify best business practices and methods. A relocation incentive may be authorized. * This position is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) subject to applicant testing and random drug testing. * The incumbent must possess mastery in operations research at both the theoretical and practical levels. * Comprehensive knowledge of principles, theories and the employment of mathematical, statistical, risk analysis, and data visualization data tools is also required. Qualifications Basic Requirements:
Degree: in operations research; Or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
* Utilizing the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS).
* Applying principles and employment statistical, risk analysis and data visualization tools such as Python and Tableau.
* Demonstrating proficiency in risk analysis and risk communication.
* Organizing and leading teams to solve complex problems and communicate results to senior leaders. Additional information The incumbent is responsible for analysis and evaluation of Navy Medicine related programs within NMFP's Type Commander (TYCOM) responsibilities, including assessment of resource requirements and measuring current effectiveness and efficiency within the area of responsibility (AOR). Master's degree or PhD preferred. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
