Security Specialist with Security Clearance

Duties * Serves as organizational security manager with multiple assigned responsibilities for Information Security (INFOSEC), Personnel Security (PERSEC), Physical Security (PHYSEC), and Operations Security(OPSEC). * Independently plans, develops, and implements security policies and procedures to ensure that classified material is received, transmitted, handled, stored, and accounted for * Maintains the organizational PHYSEC Program by developing policies and procedures for safeguarding property, equipment, information, and personnel. * Serves as the organization OPSEC Officer with overall responsibility for policy development and program implementation. * Ensures persons who require access to classified information are properly cleared and possess a need to know. * Serves as the Foreign Disclosure Officer (FDO) with overall responsibility for policy development and program implementation. * Administers and implements the Industrial Security program for the Command. Requirements Conditions of Employment * Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based on a T5 (or equivalent level) investigation with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI). * In accordance with Change 3 of AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, must successfully pass a urinalysis for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter. * Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) may be required 10% or less of the duty schedule. * This position requires the incumbent obtain the following core SPeD Certification: Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within their first two years of employment. * Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. * Two year trial period may be required. * Technical Competence Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled.
