Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for an Associate Aircraft Mechanic to join our team in San Antonio, TX. Position Responsibilities: * Repair, modify and maintain highly complex aircraft structures, structural components and engines * Repair and maintain aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems and mechanical components * Apply technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunction * Apply technical expertise in restoring equipment condition and operation This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location option (San Antonio, TX). This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret clearance Post Start is required Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position. The position requires the ability to pass an assessment at the end of training cycle Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): * 4+ years of experience Depot Level/Heavy General maintenance
* 4+ years of experience working various aircraft exterior and interior systems such as hydraulics, flight controls, monuments, landing gears, fuel systems, and engines * 4+ years of experience in working with schematics, specifications, assembly drawings and standard operating procedures * Experience in accessing aircraft data
* Must be willing to work variable shifts Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): * Experience performing aircraft engine runs, and engine borescope inspections * Experience operating an aircraft tug/tow vehicle, forklift, mobile crane, and riding type electric powered elevating equipment * Experience with REDARS and/or Gold-ESP Relocation: Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
