Description of Duties: The Mechanical Maintenance Technician supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will: • Be a plumber that has experience with pumps, steam systems, drain/sewer lines, and domestic water piping or a HVACR technician that has experience with CRAC units, evaporative coolers, and Air Handler Units (AHU). • Be responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of all mechanical equipment and systems from the incoming base utilities (chilled water, 50 psi steam and potable/non-potable water) to the delivery of temperate air meeting customer temperature and humidity requirements. • Perform watch-standard duties such as conducting routine rounds to all mechanical and electrical rooms, operating • Siemens Insight HVAC control and monitoring systems and responding to all performance related anomalies. • Utilize the computerized maintenance management system (Maximo) for all time accounting and metrics reporting purposes. Perform maintenance which includes but is not limited to: • Air handler, exhaust fan and water pump component repair and/or replacement • Troubleshooting system control problems • Performing preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance procedure as directed in work orders and manufacturer commended maintenance and repair This position is for a day shift HVACR/Plumber that works 8 hours Monday through Friday and covers a weekend every four to five weeks. This position can be filled at Schriever SFB, Colorado Springs, CO. This position is expected to pay $55,000 - $80,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position. This position will be posted for a minimum of 3 days. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot controls for DDC systems • Have experience with sanitary sewer drain cleaning and condensate drain piping repair • Have experience solving maintenance problems by studying layout drawings, wiring and schematic drawings, and analyzing construction and operating characteristics
