Supervisory Control and Cognition
Aerospace Physiology
Battlespace Visualization
Applied Neuroscience As a Senior Scientist, your responsibilities will include: * Conducting groundbreaking research in one or more of the specified Technical Areas, leveraging advanced behavioral and neurophysiological techniques to address complex challenges. * Designing, developing, and evaluating innovative solutions, such as advanced auditory/multisensory interface technologies, wearable systems, and human-machine interaction tools. * Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to integrate research findings into practical applications, ensuring alignment with the mission objectives of the AFRL/HPW/RHC contract. * Leading and contributing to live, virtual, and constructive testing efforts to validate research outcomes and enhance mission performance. * Providing expert guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of scientific excellence and innovation. Required Qualifications: * Masters Degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Neuroscience, Psychology, Engineering, Physiology) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in research and development. * Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the Technical Areas outlined by the customer, with a proven track record of scientific publications and successful project execution. * Strong proficiency in experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation, utilizing a variety of tools and methodologies. * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex scientific concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. * Experience working in a classified environment and a willingness to obtain necessary security clearances as required. Desired Qualifications: * PhD in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Neuroscience, Psychology, Engineering, Physiology) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in research and development. * Prior experience with defense-related research projects or collaborations within the aerospace and defense industry. * Familiarity with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices governing human subjects research and experimentation. * Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex research initiatives from conception to implementation.
