GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST with Security Clearance

Summary You will serve as a General Supply Specialist for NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER NORFOLK in Patuxent River, MD. Duties * You will provide logistical and administrative support augmenting management efforts to evaluate and improve the efficiency, effectiveness and productivity of various logistic programs. * You will be responsible for the timely and accurate accumulating, assembling, assessing, analyzing, formulating and summiting supply reports. * You will perform Quality Assurance by preparing surveillance reports and note performance deficiencies. * You will investigate all supply related customer complaints or reports of deficiencies Requirements Conditions of Employment * Must be a US Citizen. * Must be determined suitable for federal employment. * Must participate in the direct deposit pay program. * New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing general supply support work that requires a knowledge of inventory accuracy requirements, regulations and procedures to manage a warehouse. Specialized experience must include the following: 1) Investigate any and all supply related customer complaints or reports of deficiencies in support of Inventory Accuracy; 2) Maintain current supply resource utilization and internal and external audit reports in order to monitor current and forecasted inventory accuracy; 3) Organize, collect, analyze and present statistical information related to current supply department workload; 4) Utilize supply and inventory programs such as Enterprise Resource Planning and Purchase Request creator to initiate various supplies, materials and/or service to support the warehouse and quality assurance operations.
