ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN with Security Clearance

Duties * You will provide overall coordination of the construction quality management program for assigned projects. * You will review and provide recommendations towards the approval of contractor quality control plans. * You will arrange and coordinate pre-final and final acceptance inspections, tracking completion of punch list items and supporting the close-out process including delivery of as-built drawings, warranties, O+M manuals, and spare parts turnover. * You will perform cursory review to provide recommendations towards the acceptance of an Accident Prevention Plan and actively enforce compliance by the contractor. Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying engineering concepts, principles, and practices applicable to the full range of engineering disciplines (such as civil, mechanical, electrical, and environmental) to support the design, layout, execution, and supervision of construction operations; 2) Solving problems encountered during construction operations; 3) Reviewing technical engineering specifications, drawings, and statements of work covering complex and diverse engineering designs or changes for constructability and accuracy; and 4) Assessing how frequent changes in design or other engineering requirements affect other parts of construction projects.
