FIREFIGHTER with Security Clearance

Duties * You will perform structural firefighting duties for a variety of facilities. * You will perform airfield firefighting by involving air traffic or support operations where hazardous conditions are. * You will operate a variety of firefighting equipment. * You will combat fire or rescue personnel on board ships where conditions create very difficult and dangerous situations. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Such duties may include (1) controlling or extinguishing fires as a member of an organized military, industrial, volunteer, or governmental fire department or brigade; (2) rescue operations; (3) detection, reduction, or elimination of potential fire hazards; (4) operation of fire communications equipment; (5) controlling hazardous materials incidents and/or (6) assisting in fire protection and prevention.
Certifications Required: ***This position requires the incumbent to possess the following certifications: Firefighter I/II, Airport Firefighter, HAZMAT Operations, CPR. These certifications must have been awarded by DoD, IFSAC, ProBoard or through a state that offers reciprocity to IFSAC or ProBoard. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-03 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Experience that demonstrated the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position. Such duties may include 1) Assisting with rescue operations; 2) Uses fire prevention equipment in eliminating potential fire hazards; 3) Performs standby duty during aircraft refueling and defueling; 4) Performing initial and on-going patient assessment and physical exam; and 5) Effectively ventilate smoke from burning structures.
