CRANE MAINTENANCE MANAGER with Security Clearance

Summary You will serve as a CRANE MAINTENANCE MANAGER in the Lifting & Handling Department (Code 700), of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF. Duties * You will serve as the Division Head for the Crane Maintenance Division and will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and overhaul of all general-purpose service and special purpose service weight handling equipment and operations. * You will plan and schedule work on long- and short-range basis, ensuring schedules and priorities established by higher authority are met. * You will analyze schedules, determine personnel, equipment, and material requirements, plan work assignments considering various trades involved and coordinate assignments. * You will provide information and guidance to management on ability to accomplish work assignments as scheduled, budget estimates, changes in maintenance techniques and standards and equipment and facilities requirements. * You will make recommendations to management when revision or modernization of work techniques are needed. * You will organize, coordinate and direct the work and personnel of the units supervised through two to three levels of supervision. You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs. * This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. * Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101. * Work is primarily in an office setting and requires some walking, stooping, bending and carrying of light items. * Work sometimes involves on-site inspection and evaluation in industrial and waterfront areas where climbing ladders and standing on narrow, high above the ground walkways is required. * You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: coordinating the maintenance, repair and overhaul of industrial plant equipment to ensure adherence to schedules and priorities in support of ship maintenance and repair production work.
