Are obsessed with automation, simplicity, and smooth-running systems RESPONSIBILITIES: This Cloud developer will work on a project to continue to evolve a capability used to allocate AWS cloud costs to customers running workloads on an OpenShift platform service running on AWS. “ChargeBack” interfaces with AWS, OpenShift, and internal API’s to monitor and allocate costs to platform customers. Work on a DevOps team managed with Agile principles to continue to add capabilities and evolve the ChargeBack system.
Evangelize methodologies for building and operating highly available, scalable services.
Provide leadership in reducing and resolving production incidents
Look for opportunities to improve all operations processes
Evaluate, build, and modify automation for deploying and operating production services
Create, assess, update, and maintain documentation pertaining to Product Lines
Develop and design elastic, resilient, and self-healing Cloud-native applications
Craft excellent documentation for respective projects and carry ownership of the code and the instructional tutorials on how to use it
Work with team members to design, architect, and implement solutions across geographic locations and security domains
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:  Bachelor’s Degree or higher, or ten years’ experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related scientific or technical discipline
Five plus years of experience with AWS cloud services
Five years’ experience finding and fixing critical, customer-facing production issues
Experience developing Python-based applications
Experience developing applications to run on OpenShift with a solid understanding of OpenShift architecture and principles
Experience doing agile software development in a team setting using CI/CD pipeline tools such as GitLab and Jenkins
Demonstrated understanding of networking and core Internet protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, and distributed networks)
Demonstrated understanding of industry standards for building services in IaaS/PaaS/SaaS in Cloud environments Desired Qualifications: Certified AWS Solutions Architect
Master’s degree or fifteen years’ experience in Computer Science or related technical discipline
Understanding and experience implementing DevSecOps
Experience with Linux/UNIX systems and the best practices for deploying applications to those stacks
Knowledge of APIs and RESTful services
Experience with different databases, including working knowledge of SQL, relational data stores
Understanding of OpenShift and Tanzu, container modernization and solutions, and application migrations
Experience with infrastructure configuration and automation processes and tools such as Terraform, Puppet, Ansible, Chef, Fabric
Experience with security in the cloud: Intrusion, penetration, and vulnerability scanning
