Duties * Serves as Budget Analyst for the ACC with overall responsibilities for formulating and justifying a major segment of the command's budget. * Develops budget/program processes, procedures and guidance for executing financial management plans and programs. * Allocates funds to individual organizations/programs based on an analysis of budget estimates, historical expenditures, projected workload, and approved funding. * Advises program managers and management officials on the status and availability of funds. * Conducts special studies, analyzes data trends, develops projections of program funding requirements, and recommends financial strategies and actions for meeting program requirements. Requirements Conditions of Employment * Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. * Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance. If the security clearance is denied or revoked, the individual may be denied or removed from the position, accordingly. * THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 2 Certified designated position. Must be able to obtain and maintain all Department of Defense and Department of the Army requirements of this certification program. Specialized Experience: 1) Monitoring budget execution; 2) Analyzing budget data to ensure compliance; 3) Executing financial management plans and programs; AND 4) Analyzing budgetary reports to resolve resource management and/or execution deficiencies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
