MUST BE A US CITIZEN or 5 YEAR PERMANENT US RESIDENT Project Overview: T and T Consulting Services is seeking an experienced SAS Developer to evaluate the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) existing system of SAS programs and ORACLE architecture and to make recommendations for SAS solutions to enhance efficiency, streamline processing, fill gaps in documentation and improve performance. The end goal will be to have a fully functioning modern process to replace the existing legacy process. Primary Responsibilities: a. Communicate with existing team on priorities and problems. b. Review existing programs, documentation, and data structures. c. Identify and resolve issues in legacy SAS code. d. Document changes e. Suggest additional improvements Required Skills & Qualifications: a. Proficient in data manipulation, data management, and statistical analysis, and using SAS. b. SAS Stat procedures c. SAS Proc SQL d. SAS macros and macro variables e. Knowledge of best practices and SAS coding standards f. Great communication skills for collaboration with team members (virtual & written). g. Self-motivated h. Total experience 5 years. 2 with SAS Desired Skills & Qualifications: a. SAS/ACCESS Interface to ODBC b. Oracle or other relational databases c. SAS Viya iv. SAS admin v. SAS html vi. R programming d. Previous NOAA experience e.
