THIS IS AN ONSITE WORK POSITION
Position: Business Analyst
Education - Bachelor s or Master s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field. Or equivalent work experience. Preference will also be given to applicants with that have experience
Required Experience:
- Experience in supporting XML Applications
- Experience in building supporting schemas as needed using XPath Document
- Experience in using XMLSpy
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong analytical skills
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of Department s SUNTAX system.
- Knowledge of State of Florida accounting policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking, and the analysis and reporting of financial data
- Knowledge of numbers, their operations, and interrelationships including one or more of the following: arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications
- Skill in communicating effectively with internal and external customers, verbally and in writing.
- Skill in auditing, reviewing, reconciling or analyzing data for compliance with regulatory requirements, policies and procedures.
- Skill in preparing and maintaining a variety of accurate and complete accounting reports.
- Skill in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Be a self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-passed environment and manage completing deadlines.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Ability to use sound judgment to identify problems, generates and evaluates alternative solutions, and makes recommendations.
- Ability to work well independently yet works cohesively within the section to maintain internal control measures.
