Job Title: Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE)
Location: Herndon, VA (100% onsite)
Duration: Permanent, Direct Hire
Salary: $155-165,000 (negotiable/higher based on experience) Summary:
Verigent's client is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer to join a data warehouse and business intelligence (BI) development team supporting our federal client working to migrate an on-prem Oracle Enterprise Edition (EE) data warehouse to Redshift instance in AWS. This is a full-time position with on-site work performed at the client’s office located in Herndon, VA. Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with cloud developers and engineers through the System Security and Authorization Process.
• Facilitate working sessions with cloud developers and engineers to create of Plan of Action and Milestones to address security vulnerabilities.
• Work with security team (ISSOs and ISSEs) to submit authorization package to ISSM and AO/DR.
• Work closely with security team and provide necessary documentation for the ATO process.
• Design and implement security controls and provide evidence screenshots to security team.
• Configure Splunk for centralized logging using IaC.
• Configure AWS security groups.
• Updates OS level patches.
• Use DevSecOps methodology to in every step of the SDLC.
• Configure SSO authentication on COTS application and development tools.
• Create SSL certificate to secure application endpoints.
• Previous hands-on AWS experience. Qualifications:
• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• 4 years of experience in managing a team through the System Security and Authorization Process.
• Experience interfacing with information assurance managers, including reviewing documentation, systems security plans (SSPs), risk assessment reports, accreditation packages, and Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms).
• Security knowledge required: knowledge of CMMC compliance, understanding of the FedRAMP process.
• Experience with STIG compliance remediation and ongoing system scanning and monitoring requirements.
• AWS Solution Architect or Cloud Practitioner certification is a plus.
