We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with a robust background in Git, Azure DevOps, and incident/release management. The ideal candidate will have experience in repository management, overseeing shiproom calls, and a solid understanding of Azure fundamentals. This role requires a proactive individual capable of driving continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless deployment and operation of software systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Repository Management: Maintain and optimize Git repositories, ensuring efficient version control and collaboration.
  • Azure DevOps Management: Utilize Azure DevOps for project planning, build automation, release management, and deployment.
  • Incident/Release Management: Lead incident and release management activities, including organizing and managing shiproom calls to coordinate releases and address any issues promptly.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Development: Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the software development lifecycle.
  • Azure Infrastructure: Leverage Azure services and tools to deploy, monitor, and manage cloud-based applications and services.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with development, operations, and product teams to ensure alignment and efficient delivery of projects.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices in DevOps and agile methodologies.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role with a strong focus on Git and Azure DevOps.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Git for version control and repository management.
    • Expertise in Azure DevOps, including pipeline configuration, release management, and build automation.
    • Solid understanding of Azure fundamentals and cloud infrastructure.
    • Experience with incident and release management, particularly in leading shiproom calls.
    • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, or similar certifications.
  • Tools and Technologies: Experience with additional tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, or Ansible.
  • Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with agile practices and frameworks.
