Overview Description of Task to be Performed: · Information Systems Security Engineer provides technical support to ensure the ATIP systems are designed to meet DIA C&A and IA requirements and are properly certified and accredited. · Responsibilities are full time on customer's onsite and will cover classified programs and Special Access Programs (SAP). No Telework. · Designs, develops, and recommends integrated security system and physical control solutions that will ensure proprietary/confidential data and systems are protected. · Assists ATIP Information Assurance (IA) team in DIA's Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) process using the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) across the design lifecycle for classified systems obtaining and maintaining Interim Authority to Operate (ATO), ATO and Authority to Connect (ATC). · Provides technical engineering services for the support of integrated security systems and solutions to manage information-related risks. · Participates with the client in the strategic design process to translate security and business requirements into technical designs. · Configures and validates secure systems and physical controls, and tests security products and systems to detect security weakness. · Creates and process RMF authorization SAP packages from submission to approval/disapproval · Maintains XACTA records for supported systems. · Must demonstrate strong teamwork, communication (both verbal and written), and presentation skills. · Must demonstrate strong initiative to accept new technical challenges in complex system engineering assignments. Flexibility to work non-standard work shifts as required by the supported program. · Desire to work in a fast paced, dynamic, small team environment. You will be part of a team that may need work schedule flexibility in support team providing on-site coverage of 5-day x 12 hours/day operations. Work will be performed on-site; no teleworking or hybrid work available. No Remote nor hybrid options for this role. Responsibilities Required Qualifications: * A bachelor's degree from an accredited institute in an area applicable to this position and six (6) years of relevant experience. An additional four (4) years of relevant experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree

* Ability to work both as part of a team and independently.
* Must be 8570 compliant (IAT Level 2) by date of security indoctrination with any necessary Computing Environment (CE) for certification. * Certification:
* 8570 Compliance (IAT Level II), Compute Environment
* 8570 Compliance (IAT Level II) approved baseline certifications:
* Security+ CE (preferred)
* CCNA-Security
* CySA+
* GICSP
* GSEC
* CND
* SSCP * Clearance:
* Minimum: TS/SCI, will sponsor CI Poly if minimum requirements met
* Preferred: TS/SCI (crossover eligible) with CI Poly Qualifications * Proficient in the use/working knowledge in Linux
* Familiar with multi-level security environments (U, S, TS) * Desired Certifications:
* LPIC 1 - Linux Administrator
* LPIC 2 - Linux Engineer
* LFCS - Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator
* Cisco Certified Network Architect (CCNA) certification(s)
* Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification(s)
* Certification and/or Experience with AWS cloud * Desired Experience with one or more of the following:
* DoD or Intelligence Community service
* Experience working with Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA)
* Experience working with cross domain solutions
