SPECIFIC JOB DESCRIPTION: ANSER is seeking a Budget Analyst to assist the DoD CIO onsite at the Pentagon in the following areas: * Analyze financial data related to operations, business performance, and investments * Consolidate complex technical program descriptions and strategy to distill information into simple language for official reports * Support the PPBE process within DoD CIO * Work closely with DoD CIO and agency officials to collect budget data on specific program elements * Create DoD CIO purchase request (PR) orders for federal approval * Support the creation of spend plans, budget estimates and budget exhibits * Review, edit, and format written budget policy, guidance, or instruction documents * Track process deliverables and milestones in order to meet deadlines * Draft briefings, meeting notes, and coordination materials EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE * Master's degree in a discipline relevant to the position plus 12 years relevant professional experience; or any bachelors degree plus at least 16 years relevant professional experience. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE * Must have an active Top Secret Clearance / SCI * Cognizant of current DoD budgetary principles and their associated operational impact * Familiarity with budget formulation and execution processes within DoD organizations and or military services * Experience working with budget databases * Experience writing and/or researching budget documents * Experience with RDT&E and O&M programming, budgeting, and execution at an OSD level * Excellent written, oral communication skills, and experience developing senior level budget briefs * Expert level user of Microsoft Office software, specifically Excel pivot tables * Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multitask DESIRED SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE * Experience writing official public releases, media releases, strategy documents and/or DoD communications experience DISCLAIMER: In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendment Act (ADAAA), if you have a disability and would like to request an accommodation in order to apply for a position with ANSER, please call 703-416-2000 or e-mail .
