Sr. Storage Engineer needed ASAP for a 1+ year Contract working onsite in Foxboro, MA
 Description:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Storage Engineer to join us for 12 months onsite with the potential to extend. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in storage systems, particularly with Isilon or PowerStore, and possess a deep understanding of storage architecture, design, implementation, and maintenance.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain storage solutions based on business requirements and industry best practices.
  • Manage and administer Isilon, PowerStore Dell Power Protect storage environments as well as VMware with specific VxRails experience ensuring optimal performance, capacity planning, and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot storage, VMware and Data Protection related issues and perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve complex problems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate storage solutions into existing infrastructure and support business initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including standard operating procedures, system configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in storage systems and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Provide clear communication with regular update/reports to Blue Mantis and Customer leadership teams.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
    Proficiency in managing and administering with a Minimum of 5 years of experience in storage engineering, with a focus on Isilon, PowerStore, Power Protect and VxRail
    Strong understanding of storage protocols and technologies such as NFS, SMB, iSCSI, RAID, and replication.
  • Experience with storage virtualization, clustering, and data protection techniques.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze and resolve complex storage-related issues.
  • Solid understanding of network and server infrastructure, including TCP/IP, VLANs, and server operating systems (Linux, Windows).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Industry certifications with Dell and VMware/BroadCom or equivalent are a plus.
