Geologics is seeking a talented Network Infrastructure Engineerto work with one of our national aerospace and defense partners based in Aurora, CO. This a 12-month contract position. Position: Infrastructure Engineer Type: W-2, Contract Pay: $65.00 - $79.00 per hour Location: Onsite in Aurora, CO; but some local travel is required to support program activities in Schriever SFB Colorado Springs; Boulder Colorado, and Buckley SFB in Aurora. DoD Clearance Requirement: In order to be considered for this position, a current Active Top Secret is required (Top Secret/SCI is preferred).Due to the nature of work performed in the facility, U.S. citizenship is required. For any inquiries or additional details regarding Security Clearances, please visit the United States Department of State webpage: https://www.state.gov/security-clearances Job Responsibilities: * Support the design, development, Integration, and maintenance of our modern infrastructure Network framework. The environments are a mix of physical and virtualized servers, workstations, storage, networks, and custom hardware, providing the enterprise hybrid-cloud backbone for product development and testing for a large program producing a critical, strategic national asset. This will include a mixture of hands-on keyboard Network Engineering work as well as documentation and baseline control. * The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, have an engineering mindset, have the ability and willingness to troubleshoot complex network problems, seeking to understand virtualized design elements in a dynamic environment.
Required Skills/Qualifications: * In order to be considered for this position, an Active Top Secret DoD clearance is required. A TS/SCI clearance is preferred. * Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM). Candidates without a Bachelor's degree will be considered if all other qualifications are met. * Minimum of 5 years of related work experience, to include:
* Experience with Data Center LAN and WAN design, implementation, diagnostics, performance, and management.
* Ability to understand system data flows internal and external to the overall system boundary. * Experience with Linux system administration / VMware.
* Experience with configuring cloud networking in AWS, security groups. * Hands on experience scripting skills (i.e. PowerShell, Python, Ruby, bash, etc.).
Preferred Skills/Qualifications: * Network Certifications such as CCNP/CCIE * Knowledge/experience with DoD Network Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and IA hardening requirements and implementation * Experience with managing virtual machines / virtual network infrastructure * Understanding of DevOps/DevSecOps concepts * Experience with the Agile development lifecycle * Experience with monitoring of virtualized network environments * Current or ability to obtain Security Plus within 90 days
