We are seeking a highly experienced SAP FICO Consultant with over 9 years of expertise to join our dynamic team in San Jose, CA. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in SAP FICO modules and a proven track record of successfully implementing and managing SAP financial solutions. This role requires a consultant who is adept at problem-solving, has excellent communication skills, and is capable of working independently as well as in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implementation and Configuration:
    • Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP FICO modules (FI Financial Accounting, CO Controlling).
    • Customize SAP solutions to align with business processes and requirements.
    • Conduct thorough testing of SAP FICO configurations to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
  • Business Analysis:
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.
    • Translate business needs into functional specifications and system design.
    • Provide expert advice on SAP functionality and best practices.
  • Support and Maintenance:
    • Offer post-implementation support and troubleshooting.
    • Perform system upgrades, enhancements, and ongoing maintenance.
    • Ensure system integrity, data accuracy, and compliance with internal controls and standards.
  • Project Management:
    • Manage SAP FICO projects, including planning, execution, and delivery.
    • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met.
    • Prepare and maintain project documentation and status reports.
  • Training and Development:
    • Conduct training sessions for end-users and junior consultants.
    • Develop training materials and user manuals.
    • Stay updated with the latest SAP FICO developments and impart knowledge to the team.
Required Qualifications:
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 9 years of experience in SAP FICO module implementation and support.
    • Proven experience in at least 3 full lifecycle SAP FICO implementations.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong proficiency in SAP FICO configuration and customization.
    • In-depth understanding of financial processes, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, and Profit Center Accounting.
    • Experience with integration points between FICO and other SAP modules.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
    • Team player with a proactive and collaborative approach.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field. MBA or professional certifications (like CPA, CMA, or SAP certifications) are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with S/4HANA Finance.
  • Familiarity with SAP Fiori apps.
  • Knowledge of international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and GAAP.
  • Previous experience in the tech industry or with large-scale enterprises.
