CEMA is focused on next-generation threat detection, countermeasure, and attack solutions to provide customers with full-spectrum electronic warfare capabilities to enhance mission survivability. Candidate for Design Drafting Manager must demonstrate strong drafting technical abilities; manage a team of Designers, Drafters and Checkers to support product definition form conceptual to production release; be responsible for staffing decisions that help achieve both the short-term and long-range goals of the organization; and have active involvement with enhancing employee development and career advancement to their personal goals business strategies. Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time being spent working onsite and remotely according to business needs. Required Education, Experience, & Skills * Experience as a Lead, Supervisor, or Design Manager for a group of designers * Well-developed interpersonal communication skills, diplomacy and tact to train, lead, manage and communicate with a diverse set of employees.
* Recruit and conduct interviews of design and drafting candidates. Coordinates with site representatives for onboarding of newly hired employees. * Ability to provide clear expectations on performance and act on differing performance levels to enhance capability.
* Active involvement in employee development with career advancement in mind
* Organize, develop, and communicate employee performance reviews.
* Proven ability to deal a with a wide range of personnel issues including recruitment, career development and conflict resolution.
* Strong organizational skills
* Ability to present company and functional flow down on a regular basis.
* Lead and support company initiatives
* Coordinate with business areas for staffing strategies. Negotiate as necessary for employee movement.
* Provide timely feedback on issues within your team and communicate readily and openly with discipline directors.
* Be the face and recognized leader of the Design community.
* Strong Knowledge of standardized drawing processes and procedures and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
* Knowledge in Creo 7 or higher and PDMLinks/Windchill file management * Proficient in ASME standards and technical data package requirements
* Expert knowledge of military drawings and specifications, and applicable MILSPEC/STD's.
* Experience with completing 3-D models, detail drawings and Bills of Materials. * Experience with Change Management Process.
* Degree in the design drafting field or equivalent coupled with 20 years of directly related design drafting experience with 10 years of proven leadership. Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills * Proficiency in Creo 7 or higher and PDMLinks/Windchill 11 or higher
* Product line knowledge at the component, subsystem, and system levels.
* Knowledge of product lifecycle management (PLM)
* Proficiency in MS Office software
* Secret clearance required, Special access clearance a plus. Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $126610 - $215270 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
