Leidos is seeking a Network Engineer for a position as part of a team supporting the Air Force’s U.S. Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation System Extended (BICES-X) program in Langley, VA. This is a full time position that must work in Langley AFB.  No full time telework is allowed. US Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation System eXtended (US BICES-X) is a cutting edge program supporting DoD intelligence information sharing on current and emerging global threats to mission and coalition partners and emerging nations. With an internationally dispersed team supporting each combatant command, the US BICES-X team is in direct support of the war fighter and their missions. Primary Responsibilities • In-depth knowledge of firewalls, Cisco IOS/XE Switches, and DISA STIG compliance • Plans network layouts and configures systems to user environments. • Analyzes network topologies and traffic and capacity requirements. • This position will require installations across supported sites in the Hampton Roads area • Supports the acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed. • Be well versed in all aspects of network administration and engineering • May provide technical support and troubleshooting to users. • May perform network administration duties. • Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced network personnel and may have supervisory responsibilities. • May serve as technical team or task leader. • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned. • Participates in special projects as required   Basic Qualifications • 5 +years of experience • Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance • Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent combination of education, technical certification or training, or work experience • Have a Security+ CE Certification (or equivalent) • CCNA required • Advanced knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network analysis and design required. • Advanced knowledge of routers, switches, patch panels, concentrators, associated terminals, and related network hardware and software required. Preferred: • Experience with vendor relationships. • Depending on job assignment, additional specific certifications may be required. • The work is typically performed in an office environment, which requires normal safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes, or equipment.   Preferred Qualifications • Experience with vendor relationships. • Depending on job assignment, additional specific certifications may be required. • Ability to handle light materials, boxes or equipment. • CCNP certification Original Posting Date: 2024-04-08
