As a Data Scientist within our organization, you will provide comprehensive analytical support across all stages of our mission operations and intelligence processes. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities including gathering and defining user needs, translating these into technical specifications, configuring operational environments, and engaging in exploratory data analysis. You will be pivotal in developing, selecting, and evaluating models, as well as extracting and communicating actionable insights from analytical outputs to stakeholders who may not have a technical background. Your role involves collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to pinpoint suitable and allowed data sources, harness existing infrastructural resources, and crafting analytical solutions that are specifically tailored to meet the needs of the mission. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective teamwork and establishing strong relationships with both technical peers and clients. The analytical products you develop must effectively highlight trends, uncover hidden patterns, and present insights in a clear and actionable format for end-users. Qualifications:
• Must possess a TS/SCI clearance
• Holds a Bachelor's degree or has equivalent practical experience.
• At least 4 years of experience in computer science, data science, or data analytics.
• Proficient in employing data science techniques using Python for tasks such as data cleaning, exploratory data analysis, statistical analysis, and data visualization.
• Well-versed in programming, particularly in Python.
• Experienced in Agile methodologies and tools like Jira. Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of version control systems and software debugging and testing.
• Experience with the Intelligence Community (IC) and an understanding of the intelligence cycle.
• Strong communication skills capable of effectively delivering technical information to a variety of audiences.
• Advanced degree or equivalent experience in a related field is favored.
Role Requirements:
• Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree.
• Necessary Certifications: AWS Certified Developer Associate certification.
Responsibilities:
• Engage in design discussions related to system architecture.
• Influence decisions regarding modifications to cloud infrastructure in response to evolving user needs.
• Evaluate cost implications of different cloud configuration options and participate in budgetary deliberations. Skills:
• Expertise in Data Analytics and Visualization.
• Proficiency with tools like Jupyter Notebooks and R Studio.
• Familiarity with Python programming and GitLab for version control and collaborative work.
