Summary You will serve as a F-35 Lighting Program - Logistics Management Specialist (F-35-B DAPML) in the Air Systems Group, Logistics Department, Maintenance Division, Joint Strike Fighter Branch of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. Duties * You will identify all activities involved to provide logistical support for assigned aviation program. * You will evaluate plans for and provision of logistical support for feasibility, efficiency, and economy, and to develop alternatives when required. * You will provide leadership and guidance to internal and external contacts in support of logistics management and program objectives. * You will monitor progress in meeting logistics plan and identify the cause and impact of delays and other problems. * You will prepare and deliver presentations on program status, accomplishments and progress. * You will integrate actions required of each activity into a comprehensive logistics plan. Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes. Qualifications Your resume must demostrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12/13) or pay band (DS-05) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience include: (1) Applying in-depth working knowledge of advanced concepts, theories, principles, and practices of integrated logistics management to support aviation program goals and objectives; (2) Planning, analysis, and execution necessary to create and establish aviation integration supportability policies and procedures for major aviation systems that operate; (3) Reviewing plans and products to ensure that they meet program needs; (4) Managing project/program requirements, objectives and metrics, and resolving conflicts among schedules, funding, and resources; (5) Identifying opportunities to incorporate process improvements and best practices utilizing customer feedback, internal and external audits, self-assessment, and lessons learned activities; and (6) Advising management and colleagues on difficult problems, conducting special studies, proposing options and alternatives, and representing a command.
