Summit TRC is seeking to add a UAS Systems Engineer to our team. This individual will be responsible for interacting with key stakeholders, deriving system requirements from stakeholder needs, and coordinating/planning development and verification activities. This individual will contribute significantly to Summit TRC’s SE team by sharing SE knowledge and best practices across multiple SE efforts. **Responsibilities**
• Identify and manage model objectives by interacting directly with customers/sponsors
• Develop subsystem and software requirements from higher level system and subsystem requirements and user requirements.
• Assists project lead with sprint planning, task definition and scope, and identification of project risk.
• Analyze system requirements and make recommendations on design and development activities.
• Develop technical documentation to include requirements specifications, system architecture and system design documentation.
• Assist in developing and executing test procedures to validate requirements have been met. **Qualifications**
(Required)
• Candidate must possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other related discipline from an ABET-accredited university. A Master of Science degree is preferred.
• At least 10 years’ experience as a systems engineer or Masters degree and 8 years’ experience.
• Candidate must be a US-only Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance.
(Desired)
• Experience with JIRA/Confluence.
• Experience with full software lifecycle: specification, design, implementation, integration, debug and maintenance.
• Experience with Unmanned Aviation Systems.
• Experience writing technical documentation is a plus.
• Experience with software development or software test is a plus. **Compensation**
