Join our team as a Sr. Information System Security Officer (ISSO) supporting a dynamic and vital program. As an integral part of our team, you'll dive into a diverse range of tasks, ensuring the security and integrity of our systems amidst a fast-paced environment. You’ll be entrusted with safeguarding a significant software development program. This multifaceted position encompasses software maintenance, IT support, systems integration, and enterprise application development. Collaborating with a team of security professionals, you'll craft and execute strategies to identify and neutralize potential threats, fortify critical data, and conduct comprehensive assessments of system vulnerabilities. Responsibilities:
• Implement and uphold information systems security policies, setting the standard for security protocols and methodologies.
• Contribute to the assessment of security solutions, ensuring they align with the diverse requirements of our information processing.
• Aid in the configuration management of security software, hardware, and firmware, maintaining meticulous records and overseeing system upgrades.
• Uphold operational security measures for information systems, ensuring resilience against potential threats.
• Provide essential support to the Information System Security Manager (ISSM), ensuring the operational integrity of systems and programs.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation adhering to industry standards and governmental policies.
• Spearhead the development of system security policies, ensuring strict compliance across the board.
• Oversee user authentication mechanisms and access controls, ensuring the integrity of our information systems. Required Qualifications:
• Active TS/SCI clearance with FS Polygraph (no sponsorship).
• Extensive experience spanning at least 12 years, with a deep understanding of security tools, protocols, and encryption techniques.
• Proven track record in evaluating security solutions for processing classified information.
• Proficiency in developing and maintaining security documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs).
• Strong background in implementing and enforcing information systems security policies on large-scale programs.
• Demonstrated ability to manage day-to-day security operations within complex information systems.
• Dedication to adopting and promoting best practices in all endeavors.
• Collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills, fostering effective communication and teamwork. Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience as an Information Systems Security Officer within software development and integration initiatives.
• Compliance with DoD 8570 standards, holding IAT Level I certification or higher.
• Proficiency in a range of security tools, hardware/software security implementation, and encryption techniques.
