Overview Nakupuna Consulting is looking for a Project Manager to lead our team of talented consultants providing professional services to PMS-317, who is responsible for a portfolio of weapon systems and capabilities under PEO Ships. This individual will lead, supervise, and manage all resources to effectively execute a variety of deliverables across functional areas for PMS-317. This Project Manager (PM) will be the single point of contact for the Government Technical Point of Contact (TPOC) and Contracting Officer Representative (COR), and will be responsible for the performance of the work. The PM will coordinate extensively with Nakupuna Senior Management team to communicate progress, opportunities, and risks. Responsibilities The following reflects management's definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign additional duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons. * Lead the Nakupuna and subcontractor team by providing strategic direction that is aligned with the mission and strategy of PMS-317. * Interface consistently with government leadership team to align efforts and resources, resolve issues, and provide advice/recommendations. * Manage resources across the project to ensure exceptional performance while meeting timelines and staying within budget. * Provide resolutions to conflict or discipline related issues with personnel supporting the Program Office on the contract. * Coordinate projects with interdependencies between various integrated product teams to ensure effective outcomes. * Ensure deliverables are aligned across projects within the contract; build culture of excellence in service delivery. * Ensure that positions are filled with properly trained and fully qualified personnel to fulfill the task descriptions within the SOW to meet support roles for the Program Office. * Assist in the identification and implementation of process improvements and best practices. * Identify new business opportunities on the program and nurture relationships for existing and new work in the future. * Maintain employee morale and culture, while fostering employee growth. * Meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements; prepar es an annual budget, schedules expenditures, analyzes variances, and initiates correctiv e actions. * Collaborate with stakeholders across the program office to ensure alignment in execution. * Coordinate with Nakupuna Leadership and Shared Services support to facilitate necessary recourse to ensure successful project execution. * Present to Senior Leadership within NAVSEA and Nakupuna regarding status, risks, and opportunities. * Create and maintain a business development mindset among employees as part of growing corporate business and mentoring future leaders within the company. * Develop and drive long-term planning for employee development, contract success, recompetes, and growth. Qualifications Skills/Qualifications: The ideal candidate possesses expertise and experience in NAVSEA Program Office support, specifically program/project management. The ideal candidate will be familiar with and have experience with the following technical knowledge, skills, and abilities: * Demonstrated knowledge of DoD program management, technical, or business management. * Demonstrated understanding of DoD program office acquisition/sustainment support. * Experience communicating with SES/Flag level personnel is required along with supervisory experience. * PMP Certification required. Education and Experience: * Bachelor's degree in any technical or managerial discipline required; Master's degree preferred. * A minimum of fifteen (15) years of professional experience in the Defense acquisition process, program management, technical, or business management. * Minimum of ten (10) years relevant experience in DoD/Navy program management. Clearance Requirements: Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a government-issued CAC and possess a Secret clearance.
