IT PROGRAM MANAGER

Duties As an IT PROGRAM MANAGER (PLCYPLN) at the GS-2210-13/14 some of your typical work assignments may include: * Act as the main consultant and advisor to IT Customers on matters pertaining to the organization including, requirements, projected schedules and associated critical paths, master planning. * Determining program goals, resource needs, develops work plans, allocates resources, and accounts for their effective use. * Planning, developing, integrating, and implementing vital programs, projects, and key initiatives. * Providing expert technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and other technical specialists on critical IT equities and issues. Qualifications You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service: * Under minimal supervision, determining program goals, resource needs, develops work plans, allocates resources, and accounts for their effective use; * Planning, developing, integrating, and implementing vital programs, projects, and key initiatives; * Providing expert technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and other technical specialists on critical IT issues; and * Working with customers to assist with identifying, specifying, and developing requirements documentation for organization needs. You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service: * Under direct supervision, developing, integrating, and implementing vital programs, projects, and key initiatives; * Providing technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to management on IT issues; and * Working with customers to assist with identifying, specifying, and developing requirements documentation for organization needs. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
