Military Aviation Airdrop, SME with Security Clearance

DCS Corporation is looking for a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Mission Planning systems supporting USAF Airdrop aircraft in the Nashua, NH office. This office in under the Support Aircraft Agile Effort Contract. The purpose of this effort is to provide Mission Planning Software development, integration, and sustainment for Special Mission Air Combat Command (SMACC) platforms, Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Mobility platforms, Air Mobility Command's (AMC's) and USAF Helicopters. This Support Aircraft Agile Effort provides DCS the ability to develop our Unique Planning Component (UPC) and integrate the mission planning Common Components into the Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS) Mission Planning Environment. DCS is currently producing UPCs for AMC aircraft that include the airdrop/cargo platforms of C-17, C-130Js, C-130 Self-Contained Navigation System (SCNS), C-5 (non-airdrop) and air refueling platforms that include the KC-135, KC10 and KC-46. Additionally, the FMS Platforms of C-27J, C-17, C-130J, KC-135 and KC-46. DCS is also developing the UPC for C-130H Avionics Modernization Program (AMP) As a SME, during the development of the software, you will advise software developers and system engineers on multiple area's to include design and usability of the software product. A SME is also charged with the planning, execution and recording results of the data load tests which are performed on either USAF aircraft, simulator's or System Integration Labs (SIL). Good communication skills are a must as the SME will brief the results of the load tests to the software development team. Essential Job Functions: Understand military aircraft avionics and their relationship to mission planning software. A plus if you has previous experience in any USAF Airdrop Aircraft. Ability to learn and use multiple military aircraft avionic manufacturer suites/Flight Management Systems (Collins Aerospace, GE, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Honeywell). Understanding of avionics manufacturer's Interface Control Document (ICD) and its significance to the development of mission planning software. Provide Mission Planning system and requirements analysis in the development of aircraft specific Unique Planning Component (UPC). Ability to understand and utilize principles of systems engineering, and other engineering disciplines, to analyze and recommend solutions, and clarify requirements. Supports system level designs, installation and testing during the development of aircraft specific Unique Planning Component (UPC). Perform mission planning data load tests on military avionics systems installed on either military aircraft or the associated simulator/SIL. Be able to clearly communicate testing results either written or verbally. Provide inputs to architect software systems. Provide inputs to software developers and system engineers who design/code software systems. Advise in development of user interfaces. Assure quality of integrated systems. Required Skills: Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required. A High School Diploma or GED plus 16 years of experience or a Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 8 years of experience. Ability to obtain a security clearance. Knowledge and understanding of mission planning needs of military aviators. Ability to travel to military installations and other secured locations. Ability to work well within a team atmosphere. Experience with Microsoft Office. Strong analytical skills. Good communication skills. Desired Skills: Understanding of Human Factors and Ergonomics (HF&E). Understanding of software and system requirements and processes. Experience with using Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS). Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
