The Network Engineer will have 5+ years of experience delivering tasks of a similar size/scope who is responsible for the comprehensive support, management, and enhancement of the OMC (Operational Mission Critical) NIPRNET (Non-secure Internet Protocol Router Network), SIPRNET (Secret Internet Protocol Router Network), JWICS (Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System) Network Infrastructure located in NSGB, and the Special Access System Network Infrastructure in both the NCR and NSGB. This role encompasses a wide range of duties from engineering and installation support for network cabling and fiber optics to the configuration and management of network encryption devices and WAN optimization. O&M Support: Provide operational and maintenance support for the OMC's NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and JWICS Network Infrastructure in NSGB, as well as the Special Access System Network Infrastructure in NCR and NSGB. Job Responsibilities: * Conduct E&I support for inside/outside plant LAN wiring & fiber optic cable terminations throughout OMC facilities in NSGB. This includes planning, executing, and overseeing the installation processes.
* Develop detailed engineering implementation plans, diagrams, lists of materials, and project schedules to support E&I efforts. * Coordinate with the government for the provision of necessary materials and surge staffing for projects exceeding established support levels.
* Maintain accurate as-built cabling/fiber documentation and diagrams for OMC Network infrastructure to ensure that all modifications and installations are recorded and accessible.
* Configure and manage network encryption devices to safeguard data transmission across networks. * Manage assigned IP address allocations efficiently to ensure optimal network performance and security.
* Work closely with DISA (Defense Information Systems Agency) and other contractor personnel to support WAN (Wide Area Network) optimization and ensure network redundancy. This requires effective communication and collaboration skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
Skills Requirement: At least one of the following DoD 8570.01M baseline certifications: * CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) Continuing Education (CE), or International Information Systems Security Certifications Consortium (ISC)2
* Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) And Required Computing Environment Certification listed below: * Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Enterprise
