Senior CANES SME with Security Clearance

Responsibilities Protecting our nation's security requires the best and brightest minds our country has to offer. Noblis MSD scientists, engineers, technical staff, analysts, and program managers identify and deploy new shipboard technologies, integrate information technology across shipboard platforms and shipboard systems, and develop computing and networking strategies to support the Warfighter. Noblis MSD has an immediate opening for a CANES Senior Engineer/Subject Matter Expert to support the development of customized solutions and special projects. Responsibilities: * Provide CANES SME lead engineering for the development of CANES variants. * Develop and deliver CANES hardware and/or software solutions to develop new solutions to meet end of life, capability insertion and cyber requirements. * Work with various components of the CANES system to include virtualization, storage, networking, workstations, and servers in both Windows and Linux environments. * Take part in and/or lead test events for parts of or the whole CANES system. * Develop software solutions or hardware modifications to support remote monitoring, logging, system evaluation and proactive system update s. Required Qualifications Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and/or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university plus 10 years of relevant experience OR 16 years of experience in lieu of a degree. * 10 years of CANES experience in design, development and sustainment to maintaining the operational capabilities of the afloat baselines. * Ability to work independently and as a part of a team. * Ability to develop technical documentation and updates to the C4I Team Leads. * Good understanding of configuration management principles. * Well-spoken with strong writing skills. Required Experience: * Experience with CANES software baselines. * Experience with CANES server and storage technologies. * Experience in a server/storage system environment. * Background in Agile development methodologies. * Experience with CANES and legacy variants. Desired Qualifications * CSWF IAT II is desired. Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis' total compensation package for employees.
