Provide critical and timely intelligence across all BAE Systems Inc., Space and Mission Systems business areas, but with a special focus on defense & intelligence space business. Develop and effectively communicate market, customer, and competitor intelligence that directly impacts strategic direction, long-range planning, and Mergers & Acquisition (M&A). Assist in developing long-range strategic plans for the corporation or major division by identifying internal and external strategic issues that could affect growth and profitability. Assist in market intelligence and competitive intelligence projects. The Strategic Operations (StratOps) Strategic Capabilities Unit, consists of Washington DC Operations, Marketing & Communications and Strategic Development. The StratOps team promotes and elevates the business within our markets, works with customers and industry to influence and drive growth and facilitate collaboration across the business enterprise to increase opportunities. What You'll Do: * Conduct competitive analysis studies, maintain surveillance over markets, review other new ventures and provide data-based recommendations to guide investments for program pursuits.
* Conduct classified market sizing/market assessment activities.
* Assess competitor positions and approaches to new business opportunities.
* Support the preparation for defense and intelligence VIP visits, in close partnership with StratOps and appropriate Strategic Business Units (SBU).
* Attend major classified conferences to gather market and competitive intelligence, and summarize key points related to sector programs or pursuits.
* Research, analyze, and communicate intelligence reports related to company strategy, SBU new business capture pursuits, long-range planning, and Merger & Acquisition (M&A) candidates.
* Maintain required records and reports in accordance with BAE Systems and government regulations. * Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
* Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
* Perform other duties as necessary. On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site three or more days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required. Working Conditions: * Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor. * Approximately 5% business travel required. Required Education, Experience, & Skills * BS/BA in a related field plus 4 years or more of related experience.
* Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
* A current, active TS/SCI security clearance is required. Ability to pursue a CI Poly also required.
* Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources, determine and communicate relevant information and intelligence.
* Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced multidisciplinary team environment.
* Excellent writing and presentation skills.
* Interest and knowledge in defense, space, technology, and aerospace. Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills * Working knowledge of the following:

Full-Time Salary Range: $89500 - $121500 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
